What that looks like in practice: Lutron HomeWorks + Ketra across the main home and any outbuilding that uses lighting scenes; distributed Theory Audio from the great room out to the deck and down to the river; Lutron motorized shading on river-facing glass; structured wiring that follows the property boundary; mesh networking with backhaul that holds across acreage; and Savant or Control4 with a property-manager interface so the family doesn’t have to be on-site for everything to work.
For the bunk rooms and kid spaces — we’ve done a few, including a Victory Ranch bunk install we’re fond of — we keep the controls simple, the speakers durable, and the network reliable.
